Ryan Adams wrote on Twitter yesterday that he’ll produce the new record from the Lemonheads, and contribute drumming, as Exclaim! points out. The album will also see the band’s anchor Evan Dando rejoined by founding member/co-songwriter Ben Deily, who left in 1989, as well as Juliana Hatfield on bass. (She played on 1992’s It’s a Shame About Ray.)
Adams wrote on Twitter, “Dream come true… Back to the punker sounds.”
This follows Evan Dando’s recent Lemonheads albums, 2006’s The Lemonheads and 2009’s Varshons, as well as the demo collection Hotel Sessions.
