Ukraine’s Land Agency give land to soldiers in the east for free


Ukrainian “anti-terrorist operation” (ATO) forces pose for a photograph in the restive east of the country, where they have been fighting armed separatists since April.

Land parcels will be given out for free to the servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other military formations, as well as to the employees of Interior Ministry and the Security Service of Ukraine that are defending territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country in eastern and southeastern regions of Ukraine.


Germany gives Ukraine mine detectors


A worker of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, wearing helmet and bulletproof vest, shows a new mine detector presented by the German Embassy to Ukraine on Feb. 17.

 On Feb. 17, German Ambassador to Ukraine Christof Weil presented 50 mine detectors to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service. The mine detectors are worth more than 100,000 euros and can find objects in about one meter deep. Later, Sergiy Bochkovskiy, head of of the State Emergency Service in Ukraine, gave the ambassador a tour of the central headquarters at 50 Olesya Honchara St.
