The War on Drugs have announced new U.S. tour dates in continued support of their latest album, Lost in the Dream. The Philly rockers’ ginormous stateside leg begins July 27th at Seattle’s Capitol Hill Block Party and runs through mid-October. Along the way, they’ll be playing a number of festival dates, including Hopscotch and Boston Calling.

The band’s schedule already includes a rather lengthy European jaunt spread throughout the summer and fall, plus appearances at the Primavera Sound, Glastonbury, and Pukkelpop festivals.

Consult the full schedule below. Then, revisit the hilarious video for lead single “Red Eyes”.

Away We Go: Primavera Sound Festival 2013 – Barcelona

Colder-than-normal winds blew off the sea and on to more than 100,000 hardcore music fans at this year’s Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, Spain. Located at a site near the city’s Forum and convention centre, the festival spanned a week – from May 22nd-26th – and included free gigs, warm-up concerts, a professional music conference, and multiple late night parties.

Until the wee hours of morning, festival goers pounded the punishing concrete steps and roads between seven main stages and two smaller ones, enjoying a lineup that sported a bevy of ’80s and ’90s acts on the revival trail (The Jesus and Mary Chain, Dead Can Dance, Blur, My Bloody Valentine, and The Wu-Tang Clan) to all manner of alternative, pop, rock, and punk outfits (Phoenix, The Knife, Animal Collective, Savages, METZ, Woods, and Kurt Vile).

Fiona Apple called off her appearance at Primavera Sound.   According to the festival’s press release, it was due to “reasons beyond the control of the organizers of the festival.”

A number of other acts  also dropped off of this year’s lineup, including FIDLAR, Foxygen and Crime and the City Solution. However, DJ Koze, Scuba, Django Django, Phosphorescent and the Drones have been added in their place, and festival-goers can also look forward to performances by Blur, Grizzly Bear, the Postal Service, Wu-Tang Clan, My Bloody Valentine, Animal Collective, Phoenix, Band of Horses, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Hot Chip, Deerhunter, Daniel Johnston, Dinosaur Jr., Neko Case and Camera Obscura

Check out the Primavera Sound gallery above.  You’ll find some photo highlights of a truly epic weekend.
