Fort Russ remembers… Putin’s rating is breaking all records

Russia’s unbelievable transparency in Syria surprises, astonishes, shocks!

Translated from French

While the coalition always keeps the lid on what it does, which indicates its insincerity about its so-called struggle against terrorism, Moscow hides nothing. This poses a real difficulty for the coalition, whose second nature is mendacious propaganda.

The customary bellicose rhetoric of NATO continues its old ways, but [without details] it is not possible to rebut. Assisted by the propaganda of the mainstream media, NATO attempts in vain to make believe that there are good terrorists and bad terrorists.

Russian aviation has bombarded 40 “terrorist targets” in Syria in the course of the last 24 hours — a significant decrease compared to preceding days, the Russian defense minister announced Wednesday.

General Igor Konachenkov, spokesman for the ministry, specified that tactical fighter bombers of the type Su-34, and ground attack machines, Su-24M and Su-25M, have completed 41 aerial sorties to strike “40 terrorist targets” in the provinces of Aleppo (north), Idleb (northwest), Hama (center), Latakia northwest), and Deir Ezzor (east). The Russian jets have notably targeted “infrastructures of the group “Islamic State,” he added.

The others, unable to justify their aerial sorties in Syria or in Iraq are shocked. Actually, they are not bombing anything but the desert.

Translator note: The original headline is just as emphatic as the above:
“L’incroyable transparence russe étonne, détonne et choque” I love it. INCROYABLE!

Vladimir Putin: Mr President,

Let me wish you a warm welcome to Moscow. Despite the dramatic situation in your country, you have responded to our request and come here to Russia, and we thank you for this.

We took the decision upon your request to provide effective aid to the Syrian people in fighting the international terrorists who have unleashed a genuine war against Syria. The Syrian people have been practically alone in putting up resistance and fighting these international terrorists for several years now, and have suffered great losses. Lately though, there have been some major positive results in this fight.

The attempts by international terrorists to bring whole swathes of territory in the Middle East under their control and destabilize the situation in the region raise legitimate concerns in many countries around the world. This is a matter of concern for Russia too, given that sadly, people from the former Soviet Union, around 4,000 people at least, have taken up arms and are fighting on Syrian territory against the government forces. Of course, we cannot let these people gain combat experience and go through ideological indoctrination and then return to Russia.

On the question of a settlement in Syria, our position is that positive results in military operations will lay the base for then working out a long-term settlement based on a political process that involves all political forces, ethnic and religious groups. Ultimately, it is the Syrian people alone who must have the deciding voice here.

Syria is Russia’s friend and we are ready to make our contribution not only to the military operations and the fight against terrorism, but also to the political process. We would do this, of course, in close contact with the other global powers and with the countries in the region that want to see a peaceful settlement to this conflict.

Once again, I wish you welcome, Mr President.

President of Syria Bashar al-Assad (retranslated): Thank you very much, Mr President.

First of all, I want to express our tremendous gratitude to the Russian leadership and people for the help they are providing Syria. Thank you for supporting Syria’s unity and independence. Most important of all is that this is being done within the framework of international law.

I must say that the political steps the Russian Federation has been taking since the start of the crisis made it possible to prevent events in Syria from taking an even more tragic turn. If it were not for your actions and decisions, the terrorism that is spreading through the region now would have made even greater gains and spread to even wider territories. You have confirmed your course of action by joining in the military operations as part of a common front in the fight against terrorism.

Of course, we all know that any military action must be followed by political steps. Of course, our common goal is to bring about the vision the Syrian people have of their own country’s future.

We must be particularly aware that military strikes against the terrorists are essential above all because we must fight terrorism, and also because terrorism is a real obstacle on the road to reaching a political settlement. Of course, the entire nation wants to take part in deciding the country’s fate, and not just the government.

I want to thank the Russian people once more for the help you are giving Syria and express the hope that we will vanquish terrorism and continue working together to rebuild our country economically and politically and ensure peaceful life for everyone.

Fight for Freedom – US vs Donbass

By Xavier Lerma

US foreign policy is choking the whole earth and at the same time has caused America to implode. They panic when they see the rise of Russia’s economy and almost limitless resources that give cheap gas to Europe and the world. The CIA pays off some and brainwash the weak to overthrow the government in Kiev then causing a civil war. They manage to call civilians “terrorists”, so it’s easier to murder their own people in SE Ukraine. This has forced the people of Donbass to fight like a pack of wolves backed into a corner.

It’s a mad upside down world where the US brainwashed its people to believe that Putin had invaded Ukraine while people from Donbass want Putin to intervene militarily to stop the US backed Kiev forces. They are begging Putin to stop the war. SE Ukraine begs Russia to help. Millions have fled to Russia from Ukraine including Kiev soldiers who were disillusioned with the war. Russia is a safe haven of peace. When Hitler invaded Poland the refugees that escaped did not go to Germany. People of Donbass do not flee to the US.

Many feel betrayed by Putin for saving Crimea and not Donbass. Putin asked Poroshenko for peace and organized the Minsk peace talks. Even though Putin sends food, water and medical supplies by truck convoys, many are still unhappy more is not done. Even Putin’s childhood friend, Venzin Vladimir Alexandrovich has changed his view about Putin.

In a video Alexandrovich said, “Now people are cursing him (in Gorlvoka, town near Donetsk)… a year ago we all would turn our TV’s every morning waiting to hear that Russia has started sending its troops. Now, people simply spit when hearing the word “Russia” because Russia has betrayed Donbass.” Venzin would laugh if he saw the media mantras on US TV stating that Putin invaded Ukraine with Russian troops. If Russian troops were in Ukraine he wouldn’t be upset with Putin and Donbass would be safe and sound like Crimea.

The Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) had gone on the offensive last February and created a Debaltsevo Cauldron. Anna News reported 8,000 Kiev troops were surrounded and their destroyed equipment was put on display. According to ITAR-TASS , militia headquarters reported “Around five thousand servicemen with weapons and around 50 tanks, more than 200 combat armored vehicles… were blocked in the trap,”. The US forced Poroshenko to scream for a ceasefire while the US soldiers train his military. It was a great victory when the Debaltsevo pocket was closed.

Unfortunately, the recent Minsk ceasefire agreement that was agreed to by both sides of the Ukrainian civil war lasted about an hour. It comes as no surprise as the first one was broken as well. The puppet president who was placed there by Obama never had any intention for peace. Genocide is their goal and the people of SE Ukraine in Donbass know it. When the devil tells you he wants peace you better prepare for war.

I have no idea why they even try to bargain with this monster Poroshenko. He is backed by another monster, Obama from the US who is a puppet himself doing the bidding of Soros, Rothschild, Rockefeller and other elites in the West. America is where paleface speaks with fork tongue. How many treaties did the US break with the natives?

Alexander Dugin in his “Letter to the American People on Ukraine” writes, “The American political elite has stolen, perverted and counterfeited the American identity. And they make us hate you and they make you hate us… – the global oligarchy who rules the world using you and smashing us. Let us revolt. Let us resist. Together, Russians and Americans. We are the people. We are not their puppets.”

Donbass is not happy with President Putin but he does his best to secure stability in the world with economic success while the US creates wars and discord like pyromaniacs. Obama smiles and laughs to his worshippers while elusively avoiding any blame. After all, he’s trying his best. His best to oust Assad and fulfill his masters plan of conquest in the Middle East. “Assad must go!” and “What difference does it make!, Clinton shouted. Pure madness displayed for all to see that extended to Ukraine.

A former member of the Ukrainian parliament in Kiev, Oleg Tsarov, warned us all, “American instructors presented examples of successful use of social networks used to organize protests in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya. Recent conference took place Nov 14-15, 2013, in the heart of Kiev in the Embassy of the United States of America! Is it conceivable that the representatives of the US Embassy which organized the ‘Tech Camp’ conferences, misuse their diplomatic mission?”

Yes! The US certainly does misuse their diplomatic mission. That is why many in Kiev this year protest the US Embassy like mad dogs. Even Kiev officers are defecting. Almost every week angry mobs come by the hundreds and the thousands. They protest America standing in the rain mooing like cows with a sign, We are not cattle!. They thank the weasel Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt for bringing war and poverty. He’s lucky they haven’t dragged him in the street like the US ambassador in Libya. On June 25, in this video, they made demonstrations with raw meat.

They said at the protest, “We, the youth of Ukraine… gather near the USA embassy in order to tell them: Americans, enough with interference  into internal affairs of Ukraine! Enough with killing our people! Enough with financing the war in Donbass! Enough with terrorizing our Motherland and all other Slavic states! This protest is called “Give your heart to United States”. Symbolic countries you see here are Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, Libya, where paid USA so-called revolutions took place. People believed this nation! And look, what they have done to them! They drowned them in blood, they destroyed the infrastructure!

Another protester said, “Two years ago, when I was watching videos from Syria I couldn’t imagine that the same could happen in my country. That people will be dying, that cities will be destroyed. But unfortunately, after the coup d’etat on Maidan our country burst into fire of the civil war.”

Donbass has had no choice but to fight. Oleg Tsarov wrote about another victory, “We won because God is with us and the truth, but we are not gloating. As a Ukrainian people we wish a speedy liberation from the occupying regime. After using Poroshenko, America occupied the Ukraine and tried to occupy us. Our common duty is to free Ukraine from Nazi power and give back to the people their country and to punish those responsible for inciting fratricidal war. We will win – no doubt about it.”

The spirit of this struggle has been captured in a video by News-Front called “Donbass Defenders – “My palm clenched into a fist”.  Great music, powerful, mixed with the truth. It is an expression of their defiant struggle sung by Polina Gagarina. “Oh sun of mine – break through the darkness…My open hand has turned into a fist. And if I have gunpowder – then give me a spark…Like this. Who will now follow the lonely trail? The strong and the brave stood firm in the field – and died…Few still remember,  of firm body and mind – few stand in our line… Oh Sun of mine, break through the darkness… My open hand now turned into a fist. If I have gunpowder – just give me a spark…. Like this. Freedom… – where are you now? Whose sunrise do you shine on? Answer me!!”

The song was not translated in the original so we found one video with the lyrics in English called “Open Hand Now a Fist” to Kiev,USA”. One day the world as one fist will defy the US. On that day the world will know freedom. The country that claimed to give freedom to the world will have its yoke over humanity broken by those nations it murdered. It has begun at Donbass and will make history.

The U.S. Is Destroying Europe

europe-usa-eu-flags-400x199In Libya, Syria, Ukraine, and other countries at the periphery or edges of Europe, U.S. President Barack Obama has been pursuing a policy of destabilization, and even of bombings and other military assistance, that drives millions of refugees out of those peripheral areas and into Europe, thereby adding fuel to the far-rightwing fires of anti-immigrant rejectionism, and of resultant political destabilization, throughout Europe, not only on its peripheries, but even as far away as in northern Europe.

Shamus Cooke at Off-Guardian headlines on 3 August 2015, “Obama’s ‘Safe Zone’ in Syria Intended to Turn It into New Libya,” and he reports that Obama has approved U.S. air support for Turkey’s previously unenfoceable no-fly zone over Syria. The U.S. will now shoot down all of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s planes that are targeting the extremist-Muslim groups, including ISIS, that have taken over huge swaths of Syrian territory.

Cooke reports:

Turkey has been demanding this no-fly zone from Obama since the Syrian war started. It’s been discussed throughout the conflict and even in recent months, though the intended goal was always the Syrian government. And suddenly the no-fly zone is happening — right where Turkey always wanted it — but it’s being labeled an ‘anti-ISIS’ safe zone, instead of its proper name: ‘Anti Kurdish and anti-Syrian government’ safe zone.

The New York Times reported on July 27th, that,

“the plan calls for relatively moderate Syrian insurgents to take the territory, with the help of American and possibly Turkish air support.”

However, the Times, stenographically reporting (as usual) from and for their U.S. Government sources (and so propagandizing for the U.S. Government), fails to define “relatively moderate,” but all of the “relatively moderate insurgent” groups in Syria cooperate with ISIS and help them to find and decapitate, or sometimes hold for ransoms, any non-Muslims there. Under Assad, Syria has been a non-clerical state, and has enjoyed freedom of religion, but all of the Syrian opposition to Assad’s rule is alien to that. The U.S. is now, even more clearly than before, anti-Assad, pro-Islamist.

Seymour Hersh reported in the London Review of Books on 17 April 2014, that the Obama Administration’s Libyan bombing campaign in 2011 was part of a broader program to bring sarin gas from Libya to the al-Nusra Front in Syria, in order to help produce a gas-attack upon civilians, which the U.S. Administration could then blame upon Assad, as being an excuse to bomb there just as Obama had already so successfully done in Libya. Both dictators, Gaddafi and Assad, were allied with Russia, and Assad especially has been important to Russia, as a transit-route for Russia’s gas supplies, and not for Qatar’s gas supplies — Qatar being the major potential threat to Russia’s status as the top supplier of gas into Europe.

Obama’s top goal in international relations, and throughout his military policies, has been to defeat Russia, to force a regime-change there that will make Russia part of the American empire, no longer the major nation that resists control from Washington.

Prior to the U.S. bombings of Libya in 2011, Libya was at peace and thriving. Per-capita GDP (income) in 2010 according to the IMF was $12,357.80, but it plunged to only $5,839.70 in 2011 — the year we bombed and destroyed the country. (Hillary Clinton famously bragged, “We came, we saw, he [Gaddafi] died!”) (And, unlike in U.S. ally Saudi Arabia, that per-capita GDP was remarkably evenly distributed, and both education and health care were socialized and available to everyone, even to the poor.)

More recently, on 15 February 2015, reporter Leila Fadel of NPR bannered “With Oil Fields Under Attack, Libya’s Economic Future Looks Bleak.” She announced: “The man in charge looks at production and knows the future is bleak. ‘We cannot produce. We are losing 80 percent of our production,’ says Mustapha Sanallah, the chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation.”

Under instructions from Washington, the IMF hasn’t been reliably reporting Libya’s GDP figures after 2011, but instead shows that things there were immediately restored to normal (even to better than normal: $13,580.55 per-capita GDP) in 2012, but everybody knows that it’s false; even NPR is, in effect, reporting that it’s not true. The CIA estimates that Libya’s per-capita GDP was a ridiculous $23,900 in 2012 (they give no figures for the years before that), and says Libya’s per-capita GDP has declined only slightly thereafter. None of the official estimates are at all trustworthy, though the Atlantic Council at least made an effort to explain things honestly, headlining in their latest systematic report about Libya’s economy, on 23 January 2014, “Libya: Facing Economic Collapse in 2014.”

Libya has become Europe’s big problem. Millions of Libyans are fleeing the chaos there. Some of them are fleeing across the Mediterranean and ending up in refugee camps in southern Italy; and some are escaping to elsewhere in Europe.

And Syria is now yet another nation that’s being destroyed in order to conquer Russia. Even the reliably propagandistic New York Times is acknowledging, in its ‘news’ reporting, that, “both the Turks and the Syrian insurgents see defeating President Bashar al-Assad of Syria as their first priority.” So: U.S. bombers will be enforcing a no-fly-zone over parts of Syria in order to bring down Russia’s ally Bashar al-Assad and replace his secular government by an Islamic government — and the ‘anti-ISIS’ thing is just for show; it’s PR, propaganda. The public cares far more about defeating ISIS than about defeating Russia; but that’s not the way America’s aristocracy views things. Their objective is extending America’s empire — extending their own empire.

Similarly, Obama overthrew the neutralist government of Viktor Yanukovych in Ukraine in February 2014, but that was under the fake cover of ‘democracy’ demonstrations, instead of under the fake cover of ‘opposing Islamic terrorism’ or whatever other phrases that the U.S. Government uses to fool suckers about America’s installation of, and support to, a rabidly anti-Russia, racist-fascist, or nazi, government next door to Russia, in Ukraine. Just as Libya had been at peace before the U.S. invaded and destroyed it, and just as Syria had been at peace before the U.S and Turkey invaded and destroyed it, Ukraine too was at peace before the U.S. perpetrated its coup there and installed nazis and an ethnic cleansing campaign there, and destroyed Ukraine too.

Like with Libya before the overthrow of Gaddafi there, or Syria before the current effort to overthrow Assad there, or the more recent successful overthrow of Ukraine’s democratically elected President Viktor Yanukovych, it’s all aimed to defeat Russia.

The fact that all of Europe is sharing in the devastation that Obama and other American conservatives — imperialists, even — impose, is of little if any concern to the powers-that-be in Washington DC, but, if it matters at all to them, then perhaps it’s another appealing aspect of this broader operation: By weakening European nations, and not only nations in the Middle East, Obama’s war against Russia is yet further establishing America to be “the last man standing,” at the end of the chaos and destruction that America causes.

Consequently, for example, in terms of U.S. international strategy, the fact that the economic sanctions against Russia are enormously harming the economies of European nations is good, not bad.

There are two ways to win, at any game: One is by improving one’s own performance. The other is by weakening the performances by all of one’s competitors. The United States is now relying almost entirely upon the latter type of strategy.
